Epilepsy మూర్ఛ వ్యాధి వస్తే చాలాకాలం వరకు దీనికి సరైన చికిత్సలే ఉండేవి కావు అని భ్రమపడేవారు. కాని మూర్ఛ వ్యాధికి కూడా మంచి మందులు ఆయుర్వేదంలో ఉన్నాయి.

ఎపిలెప్సీ(epilepsy) లేదా మూర్ఛ  

ఫిట్స్ అంటే…

ఎపిలెప్సీ లేదా మూర్ఛ వ్యాధి ఉన్నవాళ్లలో మెదడు ఎక్కువగా పనిచేస్తుంది. అంటే నిర్దుష్టమైన చోట నరాలు ఎక్కువగా పనిచేస్తాయి. కరెంట్ ఎక్కువగా రావడం వల్ల ఇలా జరుగుతుంది. నరాల ఓవర్ రియాక్టివ్ వల్ల కాళ్లూ, చేతులు ఫ్రీజ్ అవుతాయి. ఇవే ఫిట్స్ రూపంలో కనిపిస్తాయి. కదలికలు వేగంగా జరుగుతాయి. అంటే కాళ్లూ చేతులు కొట్టుకుంటుంటారు. నోట్లోంచి నురగ వస్తుంది. స్పృహలో ఉండరు. జెర్కీ మూవ్‌మెంట్స్ ఎక్కువగా ఉంటాయి. ముఖయగా ముఖం, చేతులు, కాళ్లు ప్రభావితం అవుతాయి. సెన్సరీ, కాన్షియస్‌నెస్ నరాలపై ప్రభావం వల్ల ఇలా జరుగుతుంది. ఫిట్స్ లోకల్‌గా ఒకే కాలు, చేయికి కూడా రావొచ్చు.

కారణాలు :

మూర్ఛ లేదా ఫిట్స్ వ్యాధి ఎప్పుడైనా రావొచ్చు. ఏ వయసువారికైనా రావొచ్చు. దీనికి కారణాలనేకం. కొన్నిసార్లు ఏ కారణమో తెలియకుండా కూడా రావొచ్చు.

  1. చిన్నపిల్లలకు జ్వరం వల్ల ఫిట్స్ రావొచ్చు.
  2. డెవలప్‌మెంటల్ సమస్య ఉన్నా, తలకు దెబ్బ తగిలినా, పక్షవాతం వల్ల, మెదడులో గడ్డ ఉంటే కూడా ఫిట్స్ లేదా మూర్ఛ రావొచ్చు.
ఫిట్స్‌  ఎందుకు వస్తాయి, వాటి వల్లనా ప్రమాదం ఏమైనా ఉందా ?

ఫిట్స్‌ (మూర్చ) అనేది మెదడులో సంభవించే ప్రకోపనాలకు సంకేతం మాత్రమే. ఫిట్స్‌ వల్ల నిజానికి ఎలాంటి ప్రాణహానీ ఉండదు.ఫిట్స్‌ను ఏదో తీవ్రమైన, అరుదైన, ప్రమాదకరమైన సమస్యగా చూస్తుంటారు. కానీ అది నిజం కాదు. ఇది చాలా సాధారణమైన సమస్య. మెదడులోని నాడీ కణాల్లో నిరంతరం విద్యుత్‌ ప్రసారం జరుగుతూ ఉంటుంది. ఉన్నట్లుండి మెదడులోని కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లోని నాడీ కణాల్లో విద్యుత్‌ చర్యలు అస్తవ్యస్తమైనప్పుడు ఫిట్స్‌ వస్తాయి. వీటినే సీజర్స్‌ అని కూడా అంటారు. ఇలా తరచూ ఫిట్స్‌ వస్తుంటే దాన్ని తెలుగులో మూర్చ అని లేదా ఇంగ్లిష్‌లో ఎపిలెప్సీ అని అంటారు. ఫిట్స్‌ అన్నీ ఒకే రకానికి చెందినవి కావు. ఇది ఎక్కడ మొదలవుతుందో దాన్ని బట్టీ, ఆ సమయంలో కనిపించే లక్షణాలను బట్టీ ఇది ఏరకమైన ఫిట్స్‌ అన్నది నిర్ధారణ చేస్తారు.

కొందరిలో మెదడులో గడ్డలు ఉన్నప్పుడు కూడా ఫిట్స్‌ వస్తాయి. ఇలాంటి సందర్భాల్లో మాత్రం శస్త్రచికిత్సతో గడ్డలను తొలగించాల్సి ఉంటుంది.కొందరిలో మెదడులో గడ్డలు ఉన్నప్పుడు కూడా ఫిట్స్‌ వస్తాయి. ఇలాంటి సందర్భాల్లో మాత్రం శస్త్రచికిత్సతో గడ్డలను తొలగించాల్సి ఉంటుంది.

సాధారణంగా ఫిట్స్‌ వచ్చిన సందర్భాలలో కొద్దిసేపట్లోనే ఎలాంటి వైద్యసహాయం లేకుండానే పేషెంట్లు తమంతట తామే కోలుకుంటారు.అయితే ఫిట్స్‌ వచ్చిన సమయంలో రోగిని ఒకవైవునకు ఒరిగి ఉండేలా పడుకోబెట్టడం చాలా ముఖ్యం. దీనివల్ల శ్వాస తీసుకోవడంలో ఇబ్బంది లేకుండా చేయవచ్చు. ఫిట్స్‌ వచ్చినప్పుడు రోగి తనకు తెలియకుండానే నిద్రీలోకి జారుకుంటాడు. మళ్లీ కొద్దినిమిషాల్లోనే స్పృహలోకి వస్తాడు. అలా కొద్దినిమిషాల్లోనే స్పృహలోకి రాకపోతే మాత్రం వెంటనే ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించి వైద్య సహాయం అందించాలి. ఇక అమ్మాయిల విషయానికి వస్తే స్త్రీ జీవితంలోని ప్రతి దశలోనూ అంటే… రజస్వల కావడం, నెలసరి రావడం, గర్భధారణ, బిడ్డకు పాలివ్వడం, నెలసరి నిలిచిపోవడం… ఇలా ప్రతి దశలోనూ హార్మోన్ల ప్రభావం బలంగా ఉంటుంది. దీంతో ఫిట్స్‌ సమస్యకూడా ప్రభావితమయే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది. అయితే ఇలాంటి వారిలో 90 శాతం కేసుల్లో సుదీర్ఘ చికిత్స మందుల ద్వారా వ్యాధిని పూర్తిగా నయం చేసే అవకాశాలు ఉన్నాయి.

అల్లోపతి చికిత్స :

సాధారణంగా మందులతో ఫిట్స్ కంట్రోల్ అవుతాయి. ఆపరేషన్ ద్వారా ఫిట్స్ రావడానికి కారణమైన దాన్ని తీసేస్తారు. అంటే డిబిఎస్ ద్వారా పనిచేయని నరాలకు కరెంట్ పంపిస్తారు. ఎపిలెప్సీ ఉన్నవాళ్లలో సమస్య ఉన్న చోటి నుంచి వేర్వేరు చోట్ల ఉండే నరాలకు స్ప్రెడ్ అవుతుంది. ఇలా స్ప్రెడ్ అయ్యే అవకాశం ఉన్న నరాలకు వెళ్లకుండా ఆ దారిని కరెంట్ ఇవ్వడం ద్వారా బ్రేక్ చేస్తారు. రెండుమూడు చోట్ల సమస్య ఉన్నప్పుడు సరిగ్గా లోకలైజ్ చేయలేకపోతే అంటే ఎక్కడ సమస్య ఉందో సరిగ్గా తెలియకపోతే, ఒకచోటి కన్నా ఎక్కువ చోట్ల సమస్య ఉండి, ఆపరేషన్ సూట్‌గాని పేషెంట్లకు ఈ చికిత్స చేస్తారు. మెదడుకు సంబంధించిన ఈ జబ్బులే కాకుండా సైకియాట్రిక్ సమస్యలకు కూడా డిబిఎస్ ద్వారా చికిత్స అందించవచ్చు. ఒసిడి, మేజర్ యాంగ్జయిటీ డిజార్డర్లకు కూడా ఈ చికిత్స చేయవచ్చు.
